Hi everyone. So my GEM got all kinds of water in it. After pulling each fuse out and drying them off plus drying off the connectors, my truck started back up. Unfortunately some parts on the board got fried. My windows, radio dont work and a bunch of alarms keep going even with my key out and door shut until i unplug the battery. Does anyone know a good place to buy one of these for cheap? (2011)

Figured I would show the pics. Unknown hole to me apparently eats up trucks left and right. Of course I didnt know until afterwards. Got my part ordered and should be back on the road today!

That's one hell of a raptor lean. How was the recovery?

Where did you find a replacement GEM? (What does GEM stand for?)

The recovery took about an hour because everything was locked up and truck wasnt running. Plus my front and back bumber was stuck on the rutted out pit of hell. No external damages though. GEM stands for Generic Electronic Module. This is what ford calls the BCM - Body control mosule. I bought it at ford for $175 and they want $100 to reprogram it.

A word to the wise, disconnect the battery immediately upon getting stuck in a water hole. Every wet connector and circuit board will turn green very quickly from what is known as electrolysis. Do not reconnect battery until everything is completely dry. OP good luck with the repairs, as others have stated, flood damage is a bitch to repair completely.
