Could not agree more, the suggestion to not run deavers at the rear for 37” and to just get the Geiser front springs? That is some of the worst advice I have ever heard. 20% improvement from deavers?!? Your kidding right? 37’s short on money....that does not and should not ever go together.

Raptor makes for a bad bro dozer.

Appreciate your opinion, but even those that buy Raptors need to pace how and when they do their modifications for financial reasons. I stand behind my comment that if you mostly use your truck for street purposes and you really want 37" tires for whatever reason, a good way of accomplishing that goal if finances are an issue is to add the Geiser springs up front first, get the tires, and then do the Deavers in the rear when cash flow/need permits.

As for PCDan's comment, I actually considered getting a regular F150 and doing a lift (not with blocks), but there are numerous factors that drove my decision to get a Raptor. As you are aware, there are numerous types of off-roading, some of which require extra lift and some of which do not. For those that are interested in everything from trail riding where extra clearance is helpful to the faster desert style, deciding exactly how to mod your truck can take on different forms. I chose the Geisers and Deaver +3s now with 37s soon to come and probably wider fenders at some point.

Most of the supporting vendors offer forum discount codes to the members. Send them a PM and they will reply with their current savings.

Getting a good deal on something is ALWAYS preferred over paying full price, which allows you to hang onto more of your hard-earned money. I refused to pay MSRP for my 2018, so I hunted around for several weeks before the dealers in Houston finally began to consider my *crazy* offers of $1500 off. In the end, I had 4 dealers who all had similar featured trucks for the same discount and I picked the one that was closest to the items I would have ordered for myself. It will be a little harder to do when ordering at 2019, but I know some of them had deals when ordering a 2018.

I had a bit of a drive to find one at MSRP, local dealers were acting more like collectors with the prices they were quoting me.

I just installed my Geiser and Deaver+3 springs. I was very worried about the ride becoming too sfiff, but that definitely is not an issue. The truck definitely does not have as much body roll and the ride might be a tad stiffer on-road, but nothing noticeable. As for ride improvements, I can't speak for off-road use because I have not had a chance to give that a shot, but I don't see the huge improvements that everybody else has talked about for on-road...... maybe 20% better? That said, I am very pleased that I will now be able to fit 37" tires on the truck which was my main reason for doing the upgrade. If anybody else really wants 37s and is tight on money, I would suggest just doing the Geiser springs in the front and staying stock in the rear. I don't think you would be too unhappy with that setup and could add the Geiser springs later. I gained 2.5 inches up front and one inch in the rear. Hopefully I do not experience too much sag with either set of springs as they settle.

All that said, I would still love to have another two inches of lift to get a certain look. Am I going to start breaking things, or wearing them out much sooner, if I add Geiser's two inch leveling kit to the front and two inch lift blocks to the rear? Can the changes that I am suggesting be done? Per my understanding, the ride should remain about the same except for the ill effects of raising the center of gravity, but I'm not sure if the other components, especially those on the front, can hold up with another two inches of lift added. Thoughts?

If you want the truck 2 inches higher, skip a lift. go get some deberti fenders & bedsides from fiberwerx and run 40s or 42s and call it done. If you try to "lift" the truck, outside of using a cradle, you'd going to continue to throw off your suspension geometry and you'll continue to eat away at downtravel. All the truck will do at that point is bounce like a monster truck does.

If that's what you want, go for it, but it is the exact opposite of what the raptor was designed for.

Not going to deaver +3s in the rear while trying to run 37s will leave your tire eating the rear fenders any time you get near full compression.

I have Geiser and Deaver +3 with 37s and had to add Icon UCA and lower caster plates but my alignment/suspension is absolutely perfect, plus I added a lot of caster with it so I can get to the mall with a much straighter steering wheel. It's a little bouncy with 30-35 psi but rides pretty close to stock with 40-45. Fortunately I have still yet to spill ANY Starbucks in my cupholders. The springs also really help get eye level with the baristas so they respect me more now.

I have gone back and forth on my psi, so I know what you went through. I thought it was too harsh at 45+ and too soft at 30-35, so I have finally settled on 35-40. If the tires starts out at 36 psi cold, I have seen them go as high as 42 when they warm up!

Please post a couple of pics so we can see how it turned out with the 37s.

The Raptors biggest suspension problem is the rear springs/block setup, it has lots of axle wrap which would get worse as someone installed 37" tires...AND talking about adding a 2" block on top of the factory 2" block?...uh?
You want 4" in the rear, then +2 Deavers and still run the 2" factory block..which suspension wise is a bad idea, and adding 4" to the rear will mean longer brake lines...

These issues always come up when somebody just has to have a goofy sized lift and is willing to mess up a pretty good stock truck to do so....

TOTAL NOOB HERE SO JUST BE COOL =) =)

I am looking to start upgrading my GEN 1 suspension. I have a couple of question so I don't ****** up my truck.

I don't understand the Deaver Springs +2 verses the +3 I'm sure its an easy answer.

On the Geiser Springs did you have to replace any other components to make it work, or just the springs for $599.00.
I don't want to budget for all of this , tear my truck apart and realize there was more components I needed to purchase.

Are you still able to run the factory shocks with your setup?
