gas mileage for the 5.4 raptor

I run 87 octane pump gas and get 15.5 mpg average and most of my driving is highway @ 70mph. The truck has about 4600 miles on it now. Sometimes I get on it, but most of the time not. If there's no reason to floor it why would I do it? I'm no grampa either, I just drive sensibly most of the time. I don't need to impress anyone and don't need a speeding ticket. (Time & place for everything.) When I had it on the dunes, I got like 8 mpg. but I was having too much fun to worry about mileage then!

15.5 is exactly what I average under normal driving on gasoline... I have averaged 17+ on long highway trips.

after 14k miles...and at an elevation of 6600 Feet..stock no upgrades i was getting 14mpg..after exhaust/CAI/K&N i get 17mpg highway, 15.5 city....which is very impressive considering i was getting 14.5 with my 2005 F150 lariat with 3.73 in the back, stock rims and tires at this elevation. Im sure at sea level i can get the proclaimed 18 easily with my raptor with my upgrades (all of which was less than 400 dollars combined!)

with E85, drop 2mpg...15mpg highway, 13mpg city

I must have a heavier foot than anyone here...and bigger tires...and lifted front end...and the rear an inch lower...cause I average 13 mpg overall

I have a 6 mile one way commute on surface streets. I get between 11.5 and 12.8 mpg.

I get 14 mpg, 75% highway (doing 80) and 25% city. Just put a K&N filter in stock box, so we'll see if that makes a difference.

Did 105 mile trip today and averaged 15.6mpg mostly freeway but with some traffic.

My 6.2 gets similar numbers with a similar type commute. It is good to have something to compare against.
