Still no Raptor but I get 14/19 with the Supercharged 5.4 running super unleaded.

Anyhow, you guys got me thinking I should pick up another 5.4 instead of holding out on the 6.2L.

The Boss has already said I can have one :shock1:

I just have to sell the hotrod, the truck, and fix some minor damage on the Tahoe...that and figure out if I want a 5.4 or 6.2l.

Hey Ray,

I should have an SC installed within the next 6 months. I have a couple questions, is your MPG really 14 in the city with your setup?

If you had to do it all over again what SC would you select and why?

I believe he has the blower Ford provided as part of the stock Harley Davidson F-150 truck he purchased.

Sorry about that, I've got a 03' Harley edition F150 currently.

The 02'-03' Harley edition F150s come with the same Supercharged 5.4L as the 99-04' Ford Lightnings. The only difference is the Lightnings have a slightly smaller upper pulley giving them about 2lbs more of boost. The Harley also comes with the large 90mm MAF as the later Lightnings.

Anyhow, I actually saw 21mpg on the hwy once in my Harley driving roughly 80-90mph for 2hrs. I had just installed a drop in K&N filter and a bed cover a couple of days before that trip. I know groups of people have argued against the oil filters and wind resistance on the tail gate but I really believe bed covers for sure makes a difference on the hwy.

Miles Per Gallon report:

After 10,000 miles I reset my Raptor's MPG meter (readout). The result for these miles? 12.2 MPG over 10,000 smiles.

Disclaimer: I drive fast on the freeway (yeah, my 5.4L powered Raptor wants to run - let's face it, these trucks ride great on and off road). I do 80 MPH routinely when the freeways aren't laden with traffic. And I've driven quite a bit offroad on at least 10 multi-day trips. I typically don't bolt away from stoplights (not usually) but have been known to on occasion :D I didn't buy this truck to worry about MPGs especially knowing how I drive. And expecting something this big, this wide with big wide tires (huge frontal area resistant to wind) to get good MPGs is folly.

I expect to see my MPGs in the 13's now but that's it...unless I modify my driving style. ;)
