Where I work there's 3-4 13sec trucks and in the area there's an 8 sec Lighting. Now far as I know there is nothing that's high speed offroad. There's a bunch of crawler buggies and Jeeps.
My buddy I work with has a dodge that made like 750/1400 ?? Something like that, I know at 80 it will smoke the tires when the boost comes up. He has never taken it to the track just dyno.
That L is a race truck that happens to be street legal. It started as a bone stock truck then just kept getting quicker lol

That guys name escapes me at the moment. I met him several years back. He built it in his garage back halfed it. Truck was silver it was a 2nd Gen. I'm guessing he still has it I would see it at car shows and such.
The quickest street driven one I've seen prob ran low-mid 11's. Boost +n2o
I can't wait for spring to get here and hopefully win some trophys with the stang. Been using the practice tree everytime i walk by it and have a few mins to kill lol
I've got to say I'm HIGHLY skeptical of the 8 second lightning. I've been on the Lightning boards for over a decade and there have only been an extremely small handful of guys to ever run in the 8's. A couple full tube chassis trucks, and ONE street truck (twin turbo truck, and yep he even drives it to lowes lol). Not saying there couldn't be another one out there nobody's heard of, but usually if it's ever been to the track on any frequency and run those kind of numbers, somebody's at least heard about it before. And an 8 second lightning would certainly generate a buzz across the L boards.
now I've never seen it make a pass that's just what I was told. It was backhalfed had lexan windows little interior it had some kind of forged shortblock and a c6 with a brake. This info was all from a car show. I didn't think much about it not being that quick. However I've seen stuff at the track that really surprised me so i assumed it was that quick. Most people at car shows talk shit but usually have street tires and have no idea what it would run.
Yeah not saying it's not fast, but breaking into the 8's in a L is a HUGE milestone. Only a handful have ever done it. There are backhalfed trucks running in the 9's and that is impressive. My truck has bars coming out the rear lexan window, I strip down the interior to a single kirkey seat, have 722 rwhp and nearly 800 ft-lbs of torque and only run 10.3 and it's the worlds fastest street HD truck. Now I'm not back halved yet, and I'm still on the 4R100, but that wouldn't drop nearly 2 seconds. Takes an IMMENSE amount more power to break 8's.
Again not saying it's not possible, just unlikely. More probably he claimed it was an "8 second capable" truck lol
I really don't know much about Ford stuff except for 2011+ mustangs. The 06 is the 1st Ford I've owned and the 12 is the 2nd. I really want a 03-04 Cobra at some point down the road but until recently I've never really put much intrest into reading about Ford stuff. Previous F-body GTO guy since 98 My WS6 was in HPP mag and I was the 2nd quicket cam only GTO. I wanted something different so I ended up getting into Mustangs..
I know the race weight in a truck is surely 1800+ lbs compated to a car, but far as knowing what to call BS on unless it's really outlandish I don't know enought about them. How much weight have you taken out of yours ?
reptar are you from north east nj?? i think i have seen your HD truck a a couple of car shows
