i was awake so i decided to drive around and check gas prices and then stop at mcdonalds for breakfast since i was being lazy and didnt feel like making anything. i started hearing this high pitch almost whistle with kinda a rattle to it... really quiet tho.... closest i can explain, it sounds alot like rattling a filament in a light bulb, and seemed to resonate with the engine.... so i thought maybe it was intake? and while in the drive thru at mcdonalds i kept smelling something burning... after i got home i left it running and popped the hood, coulnt hear the noise i heard in the cabin, but i could faintly smell a mix of like anti freeze and oil. since i got the truck last week, all ive done is drive to the store a few times, and to a couple restaraunts in the area, so im still only at like 50 miles. so i dunno if the smell is brand new engine smell or something... the Tux Black one i had i never noticed, but i also had to drive about 200 miles before i got back home with it.

the intake i didnt look at since it was still dark out, and 2 i dont really know what im looking at... any advice appreciated. and if this is all normal feel free to make fun of me, i never been much into mechanics so i dunno... and i had a brother in law whos a mechanic, so anything needing looking at i just gave to him lol. and id rather look stupid on a forum then at say a dealership!

thanks for any thoughts. info or shit sent my way! :peace:

BP 87 is $3.25 a gallon. Marie Callenders "Breakfast Anytime" 24 oz size is microwaveable and 1290 calories before ya add bacon.

Others on here will probably have better ideas than mine, but for the whistling sound check to make sure the air filter box is closed and sealed correctly. Also make sure the intake air baffler thing is connected correctly to the throttle body. But, this shouldn't give you an antifreeze/oil mixture smell. Good luck!

I know that this is going to sound kinda crazy, but did you have the A/C on or heat on blowing on high fan speed? I had a whistle type noise before in my first Raptor and went about ape shit trying to find the root of it. Turns out, I had the rear vents closed that blow are through the center console into the back seat. Anyway, the air was being forced out a small tiny opening in the rear vent, causing a whistle.

As for the smell, I've always had a funky smell when it came down to new vehicles. I'd let it go for a while and see what happens.

Yep.. Sounds about right.. I noticed while working for Ford loading and unloading them from railcars. That all new vehicles have a unique smell. Almost like oil or something burning off exhaust/motor. I also noticed whistling when rear seat vents are closed..

"Cheesy Egg & Sausage Bake". Lots of stuff hiding the scrambled eggs, even gravy. Good with a salsa, too.

Sure about using 93 in the 6.2 Hurricane? Think the manual states the 411/434 is with 91 octane.

It won't hurt it.

Definitely check your back vents. People close them off when they ride back there with me and I make them open em so it doesn't whistle.
