What was the reason for not going sprung under?

To answer your question fully, we do feel that spring under would allow for the maximum performance and we can build the kit that way and will have an option available for that. The reason we went spring over is to make it an easy install without having to do any welding. In order to make it spring under, you would have to weld on new Leaf Pads and not everyone has a welder. Our kit is mostly a bolt-on kit that anyone should be able to install. If you or anyone else wants to do spring under, we can discuss it and get the correct times needed to do so.

Did you gather test results from the cantilever suspension system already at TRR, any video in advance please.

the rear soaked up the smaller bumps way better and handled the bigger stuff easily. The system had zero wheel hop where it was obvious that lots of other trucks did due to the gigantic washboard on the track.

Let me put it to you this way. I Am familiar with pretty much every raptor product out there and I plan on setting my next raptor up with this rear setup.

Here are some shots of the cantilever in action. We really pushed this thing to its limits and it out performed even what we were expecting. We couldn't be any more pleased with it performance, even the King Shocks guys were impressed.

Doug - I'm treading on dangerous territory asking these questions, and my bank account is hoping for bad news (it's mad at me at the moment).

So I have:

FRONT - Icon 3.0 coilovers, RPG UCAs and LCAs, RPG tie rods, Fox 3.0 secondary bypass shocks (dual shock setup)

REAR - Icon 3.0's, RPG frame support and bump stops, and Deaver +3 springs

Will all of this work with the cantilever kit? In an email I sent you last week, you mentioned the Icons would work - but might need a dog bone. Here are the specs I found on Raptor shocks from the three vendors. I'm not sure what "length" the Icons are considered (it looks like they have 7" of travel). Does that mean I need 5" dog bones?

IconsFoxKing_zpsf0474cb9.jpg

Also, I hear bolt on - but I also hear cutting. Is there any welding required? Anything special I would need to do with the Deaver +3 springs? Is this a DIY project? How much extra work is involved if I leave the bed in place?

I did the Icon install front and rear. But the LCAs and secondary front shocks were done by my shop (because of the welding). It was a VERY expensive install because the top shock mounts need special fitting and welding.

Here's a great deal for both of us: You can wrap my truck with Rogue Racing and I will be a billboard for your company - and you can give me the cantilever kit and install it, all for free. It's a win-win!! Plus I lived a few blocks from your shop for 12 years - we're both Hendersonites.

I need to come to Vegas anyway to pick up a gun from the Vegas Police evidence locker (the stupid thief finally got busted and happened to still have my stolen Walther from 5 years ago).

Here you go...

Your ICON's will work with the cantilever set-up... Here is the difference... Your Icon's Compressed Length is 20.535, our recommended compressed length is 21.81 so no problem here... Your Icon's extended length is 27.5, our recommended King's extended length is 33.81 so here is where the dog bones come into play... Yes would need 4" or 5" dog bones... With that being said the shocks we use have over 6" longer extended length which equates to almost 6" of extra travel in the shock... We can adjust some of the travel numbers out in the middle of our distance between the extended and compressed numbers and still get you around 17" of real wheel travel... This is the beauty of the cantilever and all of the pivot points...

There are a few holes you have to drill and two pieces we recommend that you cut... There is no welding... This is a DIY project if you are mechanically inclined and can measure... I assume you are both since you own a Raptor and did some partial suspension install on the front... There is not a lot of extra work involved if you leave the bed on but it does slow down the install process a bit... We can install this kit in 4.5 hours and that was on our first try... I think the one we do tomorrow will take about 3.5... If you leave the bed on it should take upwards of 6.5 hours... Just my guess... That number could change with broken bolts, dull drill bits, lack of tools, etc...

I would like to extend the Hendrersonites deal but if I did, I probably would no longer be a Hendersonite anymore... Feel free to email me with any questions or reply here... [email protected]

We just released the pricing on the front stages... All kits have completed except Stage 5 and it will be done within the next 10 days... I will start a new post with pictures on the Stages of Front Suspension tomorrow morning...

Those specs for the Icons are the front coil over shocks. The rear Icons shocks are (according to an older post by Icon)

29.025 Ext
17.875 Col
11.15 Travel

I really regret not trying harder to get a ride in the rogue raptor at trr. Torn between this kit and another rear set up...

I will check the specs and have an answer for you in the morning. If you want to know how the ride was you should ask Treypal his honest opinion.

Here are better pictures of the cantilever in action as well as shot of the bed off & the front Stage 2 system with the replacement spindles.
