In the process of armoring up my underbelly. But it seems I cannot find a skid plate for the fuel tank. Has anyone had any issues with damaging the stock plastic tank protector or tank itself? Or is the tank considered flexible enough to bounce back from hits?

I went with aluminum because I got a good deal on it. Think the consensus among rock crawlers is steel seems to slide over rocks more easily, whereas the aluminum seems to sort of "catch" on them.

Thanks. RCI has them on sale, so even better news. I went with the steel version based on your comment. The aluminum version probably would save some weight but can live with the extra weight for the potential extra protection. Now I just have to wait for the weather here to warm up and the 10” of snow to melt off to install it. Hopefully that will have happened once it gets here. :)
