Fuel tank skid plate?

In the process of armoring up my underbelly. But it seems I cannot find a skid plate for the fuel tank. Has anyone had any issues with damaging the stock plastic tank protector or tank itself? Or is the tank considered flexible enough to bounce back from hits?

Did you buy it used? They come with skid plates for the tanks.

From factory it's just a piece of plastic.

I have an RCI gas tank skid plate. Works great
