Don't think so,
just have TSB done,not a full flash,phone,radio,address still there.
my truck shift normally in sport mod too.
never have rattle.

Flash doesn’t erase your stuff. It resets the transmission learning tables. Dealer probably (hopefully) did the process properly that’s why you don’t notice it.

Not the OP but...

I had the new update done and was quoted 2700ish USD including water pump while wasting time at the dealer.. I asked if this included everything and not just the bare minimum parts for phasers as I'm paying out of pocket and the SA claimed it did. (Dont care if the chain isn't a wear part want a new one blah blah) It actually goes in Monday for phasers so I can probably get a more accurate idea mid-week if I remember when it's done.

My personal reasons are the sound but the truck has 85k miles is just kind of getting cleaned up one step at a time.

The update is for the PCM; it is unrelated to the Sync system.

Dropped mine off this morning for the cam phaser.

Did mine (2019) today, no difference on the drive home. It only rattled occasionally, so maybe this will fix it.

Had the flash done yesterday. I never had a rattle (2019 with 36k kms).

The only thing that reset in the cabin was the ambient lighting.

$2283.54usd was my final total after ford picked up 33%. (Both tensioners and chains as well..)

Zero complaints to this point after picking up the truck.
