at 50000 miles your due for a rebuild
don't buy new shocks
they can be rebuilt call Rory at RaptorKustoms.com
he did mine as well as several east coast folks, he does a great job.

Already had them replaced at Colonial Ford. I emailed Fox customer service yesterday (no response yet) and opened a case through Ford Customer Service. I get the feeling it's not going anywhere with either of them.

Mine started leaking at 70k. Ford denied the warranty claim. They are now my spares. I never had them rebuilt because the road salt up here did a number on them. My new (to me) ones were given an additional clear coat and I plan to spray them regularly with anti-corrosion lubricant.

Rory's web site may not be the greatest, but he is legit. I know half a dozen guys who have had him rebuild their 2.5/3.0 shocks, and others who have had him do other work. All highly reccomend him.

I have 48K miles on my 2011 and they are starting to leak as well. I took it in today at a local shop and was quoted $450-500 to rebuild both front shocks. What prices are you guys paying to have them rebuilt?

I was thinking about just going for 3.0s. Think it's worth the $2500 for 3.0s vs $500 rebuild?

I found with my new truck in 2013 that the rear constantly hit the bump stops at fairly low speeds on AZ trails. I knew I was going to put a bump stop kit on and RPG convinced me to add their National rear springs. The rear springs are a bit softer than stock in the first little bit of travel but they are much more progressive and the rear spring upgrade solved the bottoming rear. I could go at a much quicker pace but they the stock front coil overs were the limiter. I upgraded the front to Fox 3.0 Coilovers from RPG and the truck is fantastic offroad. Enough suspension performance for my needs. the only downside is with the stock front the numerous speed bumps everywhere here were super soft. With the new Fox 3.0 suspension speed bumps are pretty harsh.
