Just moved from a 2019 Lariat to the 2024 Raptor (35). I still miss my black-on-black lariat, but the Raptor is awesome, of course. One thing that we've noticed is the road noise is far more noticeable in the raptor. It sounds like the rear windows are cracked a bit, or one of the doors isn't shut properly, but no issues there. I thought that I read somewhere that there are wheel-well inserts available somewhere but haven't found anything yet. Has anyone done this or are there any others hearing this extra road noise in their '24. It does seem to go away nicely when I simply get on it :)

That’s odd. First thing I noticed going from my 19 to 22 was how quiet the cab was. Even more so on my 24 so maybe something is up.

I've installed the Husky wheel well liners on the rear. Makes it look much better.

Noticed the same thing on my '24. Always sounds like the door is open or a window is cracked. It's not road noise, it's just ambient noise in general.

Right ... its not wheel tire/wheel noise. Its more like you said and sounds just like general road noise. It may justify undercoating and maybe the wheel well inserts for sure. They do clean things up nicely too.

yeap, sound insulation could/should be better in these trucks, no doubt ...I expected better when I bought mine, now, I am used and keep in mind it's still a work truck...If we consider the raptor standing, ford should have done better .
edit : A/T tires are a part of this inevitable problem...

So Ford as I understand was the leader in quietness in their F150 cabs, and well ahead of their peers. Friend at Ford said they cut back on that to save money I believe starting in the 21 model refresh.

I think they feel victim to the thinking that you dont have to be the fastest when being chased by a bear. You just have to be faster than your friend.

I didn't notice any real noise difference between my 18 and 22. Though the 22 windshield is marked with "Queitglass" or something along those lines. I have about 7-8 rock chips in 45k miles on the 22. Put a 103k on the 18, not a single chip.

There are vents on the back of the cab, maybe they forgot to put the flappers on? :)

The outside noise sounds like it's coming from the lower front door area, like if a loud truck or motorcycle passes by it sounds like the window is slightly open.
