I bet they were clever enough to make sure it would clear a set of lights mounted on the Ford Racing light bar lol
And they don't expect everyone to use it just for offorad purposes, which is why it's a production truck and still has cruise control, air conditioned seats, and all of those creature comforts for a daily driver street queen. But that doesn't mean every single feature on the truck should be for street function. There's nothing wrong with some things on the truck actually being only geared for offroading use.
I see no relevant arguement to the H1 either. The H1 wasn't intended JUST for offorad use and thats it, and neither was the Raptor. How's that any different? The Raptor has more creature comforts for more use on streets. Or would you also complain that the Hummer if it had a snorkle that the snorkle wasn't any use on the street and it was dumb because Hummer didn't design a street function for the snorkle, just an offorad function. Well ford geared the front camera as for offroad use. not parking between other minivans at walmart
Trust me I'm with you I'd like the front camera to have more functionality as well, I ordered it on my '12 that will rarely go offroad and I'd like to find some use for it since I'm buying it, but I'm not complaining that Ford added it as an offroad feature, I'm looking at it the realistic side and just happy they did add it.
I agree with you but Ford can't seriously expect everyone that purchases a Raptor to use it for off road purposes.
Even the Hummer H1 wasn't solely intended for off road usage and that's, arguably, the most capable stock off road vehicle.
