What happened to your truck last Sunday?

bottomed out. and broke my one of my rear windows.

frames fine. it was a flat landing on a downhill.just a little too much air. but that brings up the issue of me overdriving my truck. the bumpstops did their job and did it well. if i am to go any farther, then i will need more parts. the bump stops, no matter what company, can only protect so much. after that, its up to the driver/owner on what parts they want to upgrade next

It's impressive that these things can take the abuse as it is. I've had a couple moments myself where my own stupidity gets me in trouble where I have to stop to check the truck because from the abuse it's taken if swear something should of broken. But so far so good and I'm thankful for having my bumpstops. I hope you get repaired soon.

To the OP. A lot of guys run bump stops for the extra insurance. I personally run the RPG kit and have some some pretty good jumps. All without any frame issues.

Definitely recommend a bump stop kit. Have gotten some pretty big air in mine without frame support or bump kit. Since I kept reaching and exceeding the stock suspensions limits I put the SVC kit on and upgraded the shocks while I was at it. If you are thinking of pushing yours at all I would echo the others and tell you a bump stop kit is the best thing you can do to save your truck from the driver.

our kits wraps around the the 3/4's of the frame the only part that isn't covered is the inner wall. as you can see in the pictures it is a beefy kit and worth every penny for the insurance and piece of mind!

ok, another newbie question. Does the bed have to be removed to install this? Looks like it to me from the picture.

WOW! I'm telling myself now to ease into this and take things slowly until I at least have a moderate level of experience and confidence. From what I've read already thought the same hill will act differently at different speeds to that really makes things tricky. For the time being, I'll be erring well on the side of caution. Glad you and your truck are mostly ok.

You do not have to remove the bed to install any of the bump kits. The SVC was easy to install. Very beefy and will give you great peace of mind. Any of the kits should give you peace of mind. I just have personal experience with the SVC kit.

You just have to loosen and drop the exhaust hangers to get the cross brace in. Otherwise there's no way to make it fit
