My truck goes straight from the dealer to get an RPG Stage 4 rear, plus FOX coil overs for front, and RPG upper UCA and RPG Tierods. My question is did you ride in another Raptor that made you change your mind? Or what is you reasoning, my wife is not happy that I am changing a brand new truck, can't grasp that. So your going to drive 10 miles and spend 10K

Andrew,

I just got the RPG Stage 4+ (Fox front/rear, RPG bumps and National SD springs) done on my SCREW this past week. I'll be testing it out next weekend, in the desert. I'll give a full report.

You are going to love it. Just the on road driving is very noticeable.

Madcowranch.....just read your report. You bastard, thanks for making my work week that much longer! I won't be able to test my new RPG mods out until this Saturday morning.

Joking aside....awesome write up. Missed it earlier.

Thanks

I never said it was a bad set up, it's a great set up actually. Just not my preference.

Dons truck is the best truck I've ever seen and if he can run them, they're certainly good enough for me.

I guess it's just that I wanna stand out from the crowd(and not from my actions on FRF, LOL!) and get the Icons because not that many people have them. But I also can't deny that Fox dominates the market for a reason. If their products or customer service suck, they'd go the way of Recon or Jackrook and not be taken serious. But the fact that RPG has sold so many and invested so much time and effort to satisfy their customers must mean that's it's a quality product.

I'd like to go 3.0 but based on my off road experience, skill, and price vs need, I don't really need them.

I think I'm about the only person on here to have run both icon and fox.
I liked icon's 3.0 rear external bypasses more than the fox's. They're both good, but the icons have a superior feature set.
When it comes to the front 3.0 coilovers, both are good at high speed, but the ride quality is light years better with the fox's.
I'm down in Arizona and California right now and can understand how the valving ended up so stiff in the ride zone for the icons. The roads here are like glass ! And offroad, most stuff is rounded, not a lot of short square edged stuff.
I think the digressive nature of the icon coilovers is a major detriment to their ride quality.
Both fox and icon haul ass offroad equally well though.
