Overland Journal recently performed a shock shootout on with a Jeep. The contestants were Old Man Emu, Rancho, Fox, ICON, and Bilstein.

Rancho came in 1st. Fox came in last. True story.

Good lord.
Those shocks have absolutely zero in common with the fox/icon 3.0.

Fox came in first in my own little fox/icon 3.0 shoot out.... Better daily driver ride, better performance over a wider range of speeds and terrain types than the icons.
The icons want glass smooth pavement (California, Arizona, etc.), high speed big whoops and rollers. God help you if you try to adjust your line mid corner or run too hot into short fast braking chop. Feels like the suspension is welded solid. Digressive damping is very much a double edged sword. If you're not using a substantial amount of shaft travel, it usually feels like they're very over damped.
Offroad suspension should be compliant, not resistive. Digressive is more appropriate for on road use in my opinion, based on my experiences with the icon coilovers.

Jesus......birdman I was making a joke!!!!

Seriously in the world of top line shocks I expect there is not much difference between Icon, Fox, King....etc. My preference is Icon from my humble experience but I am sure the top dogs are all very close together in performance and quality.

Rancho....................................ummm ..not so much!:word:

Yeah but imagine how compliant Rancho 2.0s would be.
