Fox 3.0 questions

Thanks for the reply. I'm still wondering if tuning is necessary if DSC and QABs are included.

I guess it may be hard to get an answer since DSC and QABs are relatively new.

I ask though because there is a significant cost difference in tuned vs non-tuned.

Tuned to non tuned is $200 difference if I recall. The qabs don't change the tune or internals. Just the adjustments from requiring a Allen wrench and a wrench to fingers.

I would not pay the extra fee to have an outside company tune the rear bypasses. It is to the benefit of the consumer to learn how to use the bypass shocks so you can get the most money from your purchase.

The Front coilovers are tuned phenomenally and will not need any adjustment for 99.9% of the users.

Also,

If anyone needs paperwork for tuning the Bypasses I try to keep a pretty good menagerie of catalogs and paperwork on stuff. If I don't have it, I want it!

I won't name the companies but both are vendors here.

Company 'A' Fox 3.0 set - $3990
Company 'B' Fox 3.0 set (tuned) - $4700.

Difference of roughly $700 that could go towards other raptor parts.


Thanks for y'all's help though. I'm still trying to learn about the different options available to us but heavily leaning towards fox.

Yeah the $4700 price tag was holding me back from buying my Fox 3.0's. Then I shopped around and got a great deal. Most places will price match and even help with shipping or free shipping.

Do all Fox 3.0's have the same spring rate or is there a SCAB and SCREW version?

Does anyone know if the fox 3.0's are 'non-tuned' from Outlaw Off-road compared to the 3.0's sold by RPG (and SVC?)?

Is tuning necessary if I get DSC and QAB's?

We tune the shocks to how the customer uses their truck and how they want the vehicle to ride

For the rears the tuning is set from fox where they found was comfortable however the point of the QAB was to make adjusting easier for the customer . We can adjust the rebound stack on the dsc as well. Hope this helps if you would like more details shoot me a pm and I will give you my cell number so that I can explain in more detail.
