Does the dealers over there not fully disclose the situation upfront about warranty? Its not in any paperwork that we all just glance over and sign because we are so eager to get in the damn thing? I ask because I do not know. Seems a little deceptive if they don't tell people this.

No they do not disclose and when I asked them about it they said its not true they have a full bumper to bumper warranty from Ford.

Fords tech here said they denied my claim because they found damp sand in the air filter indicating missuse (I live in the desert and work on a building site AND ITS AN OFFROAD TRUCK!!!!)
They admitted there was absolutely no evidence of mistreatment of the truck or any evidence of vehicle damage from an accident etc just the sandy filter.
I took to twitter to shame ford about this and how I'm being treated by the local dealer and the poor excuses they're making to try get out of the work and Ford Middle East contacted me and said they've raised a case with the dealer to try get a resolution.

Fan assembly for $227.13:
FAN ASSY for 2014 Ford F-150|BL3Z-8C607-A

"Built tough" is just marketing. I wouldn't take it to heart, things break. Those fan blades are just plastic. I personally haven't heard of anyone's fan shatter like yours did. Perhaps the extreme heat you are in, might be causing the plastic to get brittle.

I have no idea why your dealer is not taking care of you when the part isn't that expensive. Did you buy the raptor from them? It does look like you are fixing it so hopefully the replacement will last a lot longer for you.

Yes I bought it from them. They're treating me like this because they can with almost no recourse. I'd have been treated better in a Bagdad Prison!

My radiator has a hole in it too from the fan. I talked to Ford today and they've told me the second warranty claim they filed was denied. It is now with Ford Middle East. I've E-Mailed them threatening to get legal if they dont sort this ASAP.

Essentially they've proven that their warranty is worth **** as is their word and they falsely advertise this.

Should have bought a Tundra, at least their dealerships seem to give a toss about their customers.

If you have wet sand in your filter box, you better be careful, I don't know why you are getting water in there, hopefully you are not pressure washing your engine while it is running. Good luck with the repairs.

Thats exactly why its had water in there.

Final story, Ford Middle East said to deal with it myself. The fan and radiator are not their problem.

I'll be fixing it and selling it shortly after for a tundra I reckon.

you cant blame ford for this. refer to post #4. the dealer out there is who you have to deal with and nobody else. i think the more you keep talking trash, the less likely people are going to be willing to help you

I never understood how folks overseas were getting Raptors. These trucks had to originate from a US based dealership and if Ford found out which dealership they would cease their allotment.

My salesman told me a funny story. He had a buyer purchased a Raptor from him and and his contact info said he lived in VA. When he took delivery, all paperwork and IDs were good. Later that night, the manager of the dealership calls my salesman and told him he just received a call from Canadian customs and they had stop his customer at the border. It seems this guy faked his ID to buy a Raptor and was trying to get into Canada.

If Toyota has better customer service with their overseas dealers, then I would probably do the same. Good luck.

For some reason, I would think there is more to this story though.

In another thread someone posted a picture of hundreds of new Raptors sitting in a lot in China. Could they have all come from one dealer or were they purchased directly from Ford?
