I kinda like the look. Be gentle with the 4x4 system and you should be ok for a while. Greg is right though. There have been many issues with the torsen front end. An upgrade would be going back to a 2010 - 2011 front diff.

Time for some hood lights to give you some more light out front of that beast.

GREAT LAKES RAPTOR EXCURSIONS

Thanks man!

Is it possible to put a 2011 carrier in a 2013? I assume the 2011 diff is an open diff? It seems like I read somewhere someone make an Elocker for the front. I guess not.

A locker in the front end will frag the hubs in a heartbeat.
I run through snow half of the year with a 2011 open diff and I'm on my 4th set of hubs just moving the truck itself.
Around here your plow/truck wouldn't last a month.
Even solid axle diesel one tons with plows suffer from breakage often enough...
Unless you are only moving a skiff of snow once in a while, you are going to have problems.
That's a nice plow, but it belongs on the front of a shiny red diesel superduty !

I want one to work on my Raptor ;). My old man has plowed with a 1500 his whole life and he started our business back in 1970! I don't think I'm asking for much! I've driven a crew cab diesel 350 for the past 14 years I was ready for a change!

I don't thinks so.
Keep us posted. The only other plow posted on frf was a video of one in Germany. But I think that one was a 2011.

It makes sense- especially when you only use it for heavy snowfalls a handful of times a year- saves you money makes you money and you do something with your raptor few people have.

Maybe video of it actually plowing later

Bare in mind my comments are based completely on the winter conditions I'm familiar with.
1 tons with plows only get used for very light snowfalls, where typically the big plows, loaders and graders aren't worth using.
I want to move somewhere a 1/2 ton can take care of all the snow !
I'm surprised they even bother clearing it if it only snows a few times per month.
