The thick part of the spacer between the shock and frame is inward (thick in, thin out).

Yes updates: ive tore my front end apart 4-5 times now adjusting the shim spacers every which way you can think. Towerhogs way is the worst. I have thick part out which i think is taking some stress off the coil and making it a bit softer. Treypal told me his had the thick side out. My truck rides the best that way. Im getting uni ball uppers soon and im still trying to think of something. Maybe just ordering some similar 400LB coils and cutting the flat parts to fit the oem cups. Don't really know what else to do. Been talking to FOA but idk if i want to spend the money and not see that much difference. Maybe call deaver like jason said. Pretty much sick of tearing into my front end and not getting anywhere. I timed myself and been doing each side in 15 min. lol Anymore thoughts?

I would check out this thread and give a call to the great guys at RPG

Tried before i did the work on my truck. They didnt care much to talk to me. lol. Not saying my truck has problems b/c it don't but using an educated guess u would know them springs are too big for my truck. I know because i drive it every day. lol My oem coils would probably fit on the fox's. i work so much and have so little time idk if i want to change it all over and not know for sure it will be better. plus i have to cut them a tad then they wouldnt go back on the oem struts.

i understsand the theory but that isnt working on my truck. the more the lca's are dropped the closer that lower point gets to my stock point. i put the shims like you are saying and it rode like shit. Not saying its incorrect for a raptor, just isnt the right setup for my truck. The way i have them is tweeking the upper strut cup so its taking stress off the coil thus softer ride.

BTW i have full raptor front and rear. Minus the rear axle.

Question is yours a 2wd or 4x4? the reason i ask is I'm thinking of ditching my 4x4 just wondering if the hubs were a different height between the 2wd and 4x4?

Not 100% sure I've got the correct picture. Are the OEM coil brackets (spacers) in between the top of the strut and the coil bucket (acting as a spacer) or on top of the coil bucket?

they come with ome between the strut and one onto of the strut mount. I have them backwards so it takes some pressure off the coil and makes for a better ride. Im sure long term im hurting the piston inside the shock. I plan on getting a coil over made for my truck. FOA, FOX, SAW etc. SO far FOA has been the most help and makes lower ends for the raptor and f150, probably going that route.

Put TC iniball UCA's on the other day. They work awesome totally eliminated bump steer. IT was pretty bad on my electric rack.
