GLRE Time Attack is.....
Someone had damage, moved it off the property, towed from there. Insurance company did some investigation and found out about Time Attack and who attended, owner fessed up, claim denied.
Lucky they didn't get accused of insurance fraud.

It is not about insurance !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I'm curious to know why you think there was a gas tank flaw?

Raptor completely burned down as you may see at attachment. Reason - is the evaporator ( maintaining the correct fuel pressure at the fuel tank) exhaust is directly above the exhaust manifold - this is very dangerous and the consequences you may see on the photos
Another question is - why some fuel was in the evaporator. Now is not possible to investigate but we will do some tests at another Raptor soon
George Ulrich

You're saying the gas tank vent exits over the exhaust headers? And that gas came out of the vent, landed on the exhaust and caught fire?

So the fire started in the engine compartment?

Lucky they didn't get accused of insurance fraud. That I don't understand what you mean- this happened at the Abu Dhabi world series DESERT CHALENGE - documented !!!!.
The fire started at the engine compartment - exactly because the evapor. exhaust is just above the engine exhaust manifold - this is certainly a design fault. My son was driving the truck and he may answer you exact description.
Please do not even think a sec. and even post it to this page that this was a fraud. For such a race the truck is not ensured by the way.

Joe and the others are discussing another incident that happened at an event in the states.

What type of performance modifications were done to the truck?

Some of the people who attend these types of events, cover up and/or remove their plates, just incase something does happen. Cameras are Everywhere nowadays.

Yes, this is a separate incident that happened in the US. No one is accusing you of insurance fraud, George.

I keep hearing more and more stories along these lines.... It is only a matter of time before someone gets caught. For example, it would be a felony in Texas for anything more that $1000... Over $20k and it is a 3rd degree felony - big time penalties.

What modifications were done to the truck (engine and tuning specifically)?

I think this is important information, can you help us out with that, George?

Yes, sorry for the confusion regarding the other post.

I'm interested in your situation from a technical standpoint. I'm an engineer.
