You can’t expect a Ford F-150 to have the same fit and finish of a Porsche 911 or similar, regardless of price point. Methods of production, volume, and entry price into the model, are all entirely different.
The same goes for the R. Just because it’s 109k, don’t expect it to be put together differently than a regular f150. They go down the same line, you’re paying for the power train and suspension.
Funny you say that. If needing to have adjustments like this done and imperfections corrected bothers you, you definitely want to stay away from any high end sports cars or exotics. They're WAY worse, and almost all of them need some adjustment - some even need regular adjustment due to the design.
Last one I picked up new, the entire front end had to be shimmed/aligned to get it right, and took the dealer like 3 days to get it all lined up.
Cars have issues, the more complex, the more issues. Judge them on 2 things:
1) They should never leave you stranded, even if amenities fail or things are degraded.
2) The manufacturer stands behind them and fixes the problems in a timely, convenient manner.
Minor adjustments or maintenance issues they take care of? Don't sweat it.
