Kinda. It voids the factory but then the FP warranty kicks in to match what the factory was. It’s still unknown, at least to me, if it impacts extended ones.
Worth noting as was mentioned early in the thread “void” is a misnomer. The tune would have to be the determined cause of the part failure that the warranty was being applied against.

OEMs do like to use tunes as a leverage point to deny warranty. However in practice it’s much less likely ford would point the finger at itself and will probably set a high bar for warranty denial for FP tuned vehicles. Last thing they want is to embarrass themselves. Still it’s possible, all part of the risk reward calculation….

Exactly. No modification voids your warranty. Even directly related systems aren't automatically void. If you get an oil pan leak after a tune, they'll probably fix it even though its part of the engine. I think a lot of this ultimately comes down to the dealer, my closest dealer will be the first to try to deny anything.

probably they can not break into their own ecu, hang tight brodonski
Sure seems that way....Im still holding the conspiracy that they really don't want to give people a full 3 year 36 mile warranty....Easier to just pass it out 2 years later when now its basically a 1 year 12K mile warranty.

We'll know for sure if they release it to 2024s in 6 months...but not the 25s.

I have been living with this for about a week now and so far I am very happy with the results.

I realize this is very subjective, it is not a giant improvement but it is noticeable and enough to be worth it to me.

Overall it seems to be more responsive in any mode, and more fun to drive aggressively especially in "sport mode".

The throttle response has been improved, acceleration from say 1/3 throttle seems much more aggressive, and the shifts seem crisper and better calibrated.

It still hangs up on a lower gear for a second or two when you suddenly back off the throttle when "~floored" and only half way down the shift order.

Maybe I'm imagining this but the exhaust note seems louder at idle.

The tool allows you to read and clear Diagnostic Trouble Codes and adjust the tire size and axle ratio stored in the PCM, clear certain adaptive learning, and perform engine off/engine on diagnostics.

You can also display up to 6 "gauges" on the supplied tool, and there are at least 30 of those "gauges" you can select, such as air/fuel ratio, spark timing, rpm, various boost / vacuum / other sensors, waste gate operation, etc. and it comes with a suction-cup device to mount the unit on the windshield.

As an aside I asked the dealer from which I purchased the vehicle - they claimed it did not void the factory warranty on the vehicle like installing a supercharger might - and the Ford performance parts web site states "3yr/36k mile Ford Performance Parts warranty from new vehicle in-service date when installed at a Ford dealer" - I guess we will see if something happens that requires warranty work and the ESP warranty has kicked in.
