Yeah, install is easy, that's not my concern. For those that did purchase and paid for a Ford branded diff cover did it come with instructions from Spicer or FPP?

Dude, you claimed to have read all the posts? All the info needed is on there...I even mentioned that I drove 2000 highway miles and a couple hundred on gravel roads just after the install with the supplied gasket. Not leaks or issues. The only thing I researched further was to confirm the torque value for the bolts. I settled on 20#s.

Apparently my question is not easily understood. For those that purchased a FPP branded diff cover did it come with Spicer install instructions. Not asking for advice on how to install, just asking if Spicer vs FPP install instructions were included.

My Spicer cover did not come with any instructions. I read your previous post ans your concern is if you got a FP cover correct?

Spicer Dana makes the cover for FP - the difference is the name plate and possibly the price. I just touched one of the rivets and it came off. I ended up tapping the holes and reinstalling the name plate with screws.

Why 4 quarts? The manual states 2.7 is capacity.

We offered it with 3 quarts but everyone in the group buy wanted an extra quart to flush out any old, plus we are pretty sure that this diff cover allows more fluid. When you added the 3 quarts, did any come out of the bottom hole for you? We can offer the package with 3 quarts and no lube locker gasket if that is what the customers wants. We also offered Royal Purple but everyone wanted AMSOIL.

Yes, that is correct. Just trying to understand from those that purchased a FPP branded diff cover, did it come with Spicer labeled installation instructions. If it did, great, I will probably do as you have done to affix the faceplate.

If persons who purchased a FPP branded diff cover received FPP branded install instructions, then I may have paid for a FPP but received a Spicer diff cover instead.

Again, you clearly didn’t read all the posts....
All the info, questions covered;

1. Both covers are mfc., by the same company, different crappy labels.
1.a., Price up charge for “FORD” name plate.
2. Almost all did not get an instruction sheet.
3. Extensive how to and experience with both well documented.

4. Even a YouTube vid mention from “Keep it Dirty” Helio M. compared both.
5. At least two or three separate threads on the cover, more on alternative covers.

What else do you need?

Mine came with spicer instructions. I believe that is who makes it for FRPP.

Cover arrived today, thank you Rick@freedommotorsports.
