I hear ya and u made some good points.

I just hate debating/arguing. I do it enough with coworkers and helpers all day to do things the right way at work. So if its not related to my job and just don't feel like debating lol. I like to come here and learn, help educate others if possible, and have some laughs.

That would be nice to see more 6.2's out there so more parts are made for us but that's obviously not how ford is thinking....whatever ford is doing it this way and debating over what would be better at this point won't change a thing

Never know, all the talk about an EcoRaptor at least had Ford considering it.

so I'm guessing livernois, whipple, roush, procharger, hennessey(yeah they're crap, but if you do the tune and install yourself, you'll be better off, and they do use good parts most of the time), volant, 5 star, kooks, AFE, stainless works, Airaid, K&N, diablosport, SCT, superchips, and all the other vendors don't make any performance upgrades for the 6.2L, look around, there are a ton of performance mods for the 6.2L, no, we don't get all the small name companies building stuff for the 6.2L, because we spent 50k+ on a truck, are you gonna get some cheap mod that will more likely damage the truck than improve performance? The small name companies have to build stuff for engines with 100k+ production numbers to be able to make any profit. The 6.2L engine has every mod covered, we just have a few very high quality products, instead of a crapton of low quality products you have to sift through to find anything worth even spending money on, to get the same quality product for a 5.0L, you'll be spending the same amount of money, and remember, the 6.2L is at the very base of what it could be, it has 2 valve heads, low tech head design, bare bones exhaust manifolds, single overhead cams with emission focused variable valve actuation, the throttle is limited to 20% until you get over 3,500 rpm, it has capability for direct injection, but they're not in there yet, a non-performance oriented intake manifold, it has amazing potential, whereas the 5.0L is halfway to as far as it can go from the factory, and it makes the same amount of power

Sure parts are available, but just because our trucks cost a lot, doesn't mean we need to pay a lot for parts. Look at corvettes, they aren't cheap. But you can get performance upgrades for pretty cheap. Competition lowers prices. I'd love a cam upgrade, but would never pay Livernois's prices. Not to say they are not worth it, but I'm not a consumer at that price, and neither are most people. If someone came out with a good cam in the 1k ballpark, more people would buy, and it would force Livernois to lower prices. But they won't right now, they corner the market.

My point is, things don't have to cost a lot to perform the same function, with the same quality. It just depends on supply, demand, and market share.

the 350's also been around since god invented dirt, and there are plenty of cam manufacturers out there, you just have to find the cam specs you want and take it to them, they'll make it for you

like I saw in someone's signature on here, strong, light, cheap, pick two, you can't have all three

i too would be all over a cam in the 1K ball park and wouldn't pay Livernois price $2589 man you can get a set of dressed heads for the 5.0l for less.

Thank you for proving my point. All I've been saying is the more 6.2's out there, the more options we will have at lower prices.

I want more 6.2L engines out there, hopefully it'll be the standard v-8 in the next gen f-150, and the engine in the next top of the line mustang, and yes it will fit if the 5.0L will, or it could go the way of the boss 429s and be modified to fit the engine

With some of the issues coming out on the 6 cyl turbos the "eco-boost" may be like owning a dose of the clap shortly. Do not want anything "eco" on my truck in fact if it were not for the Raptor my truck would not be a Ford...

Ford bet the Farm on the eco engine and it does have issues. They are not going to give up on it so just be aware.
