60” exactly
Thank you!

Unfortunately, for anyone else with a RetraxPro or RetraxPro XR, the canister is 61.5” across and barely clears the two boxlink grab bars. So unless lower profile aluminum support brackets become available, this bar won’t fit. But I doubt anything could be made much slimmer since ford would have done so themselves. 3/4” on each side is all that’s needed. The only remaining option would be to cut the rails shorter but as the canister is infront of the forward boxlink slots, a different type of support would need to be fashioned.

The rails are aluminum, and could easily be cut shorter.

Right. But they would then have no way to mount, since they mount into the boxlink. And we know they won’t reach since the canister blocks the box link.

That’s why I mentioned it could be cut but you’d need to rig a “lower profile” way to extend the support to the boxlink.

Or you can ditch the Retrax and install a Roll N Lock. At 59.5” the canister will fit between the brackets of the cargo management system. You’d still need to cut the rails down as only 1 of the attachment bolts would be utilized. I’ll post pics of the finished product in a bit. IMG_5312.jpegIMG_5311.jpeg

Good to know!

But having owned both, I much prefer the RetraxPro XR to the Roll-N-Lock XT. It still has that pull cord right? And did they finally give it fully-sealed bearings? The smaller canister was certainly nicer, but I didn’t find it rolled as smoothly, which makes sense since it’s rolling tighter.

Did you finish your install? I’ve known my parts guy for many years so we ordered the parts and he let me take them to do a test fit before ringing them up. I’ve gotten as far as your pics. The brackets fit just find to the left and right of the cargo box (this part was kind of obvious, since all the covers’ center sections that roll up would be about the same width). I can also cut it down to secure the one hole as you suggested, but I actually thought it might be better to simply shear off the top and bottom of the extrusion and leave the back spine intact. This would allow you to slide it back and bolt to both holes. I’m considering if altering this that much is worth it to me for the bed divider. I have a home-made two piece wood divider I could always employ. I even have the cord split-fold bed extender, I just don’t find it works all that well.

Yes, pretty much done, may be hard to see but I had to cut a few inches off the side rails. They are supported by 1 bolt in the front of the bed, as the canister blocks the rails. For my intended use, that’s ok. I’m able to run my bike rack inside the tonneau cover, and still lock it up when needed. Mission accomplished.

What's the overall consensus on the Ford Rails and Bed Divider? I'm thinking about pulling the trigger on these but can't find any reviews. Any drawbacks with the rail system?
