Have not heard that so if so I am oblivious. It sends a flat single out to amps and is a pretty common and supposedly the best way to do it. For the price, it should be.
I think @The Car Stereo Company was the vendor that explained it. This is probably totally my mistake but I could swear someone asked why does XYZ device need to be installed when upgrading the stock stereo and the reply was, because as the stock stereo increases volume it takes away bass to limit distortion. This really could be me mixing things up, but I did consider doing a stereo install as well and this was a setback for me at the time.

Ah, I used an LC7i in my last F150 but not needed when using this Zen Module. Hoping the install goes smooth, we'll see.

here, on frf
I read on here that the Gen2's B&O change tuning as they get louder. They lose bass as they get louder to keep from distorting. Will this device help with that as well as converting to analog? (all here-say to me I have no knowledge how it really works)
you are correct. auto manufacturers put these restrictions and eqs in place so they dont end up warrantying audio equipment. some more so than others. unfortunately fords sound systems are lacking to say the least.

So what needs to be changed out to prevent the low frequency drops instead of just running a speaker wire directly to an amp?
