For those who went to a Tremor Super Duty...

There’s a big gap between towing capability of the Raptor vs towing capability of a super duty turbo diesel with a super duty gas fits right in. Besides that, the gas F250 has significantly more payload than the diesel.

It does? When did engine change the payload rating? I can't find anything newer than 2018, but in 2018 gas and diesel payload is the same with all else equal.

Ummm always? Adding a sunroof changes payload also. Payload is what the truck can carry. If the engine is heavier that’s that much less you can carry IN the truck.

Huh, sorry I'm so silly. I know what you're saying, but the ratings don't reflect that from what I can find from Ford official channels.

What’s an official Ford channel? You aren’t going to find that info unless you look on the sticker since literally every option you add affects payload. Unless you add the heavy tow package (not sure what the exact option is called) to the diesel, the gas engine will have more payload. If you do add it, everything is not equal.

This confirms what I've been saying. Even with the maximum available payload, the diesel has 320lbs less payload than the gas engine. So two small passengers or one exceptionally large one.

Maximum available means adding "F-250 Trailer Tow Package - High Capacity" an extra $1130 in addition to the cost of the diesel

Beyond that, if you're getting a Tremor, it's possible you might be looking into doing at least some off-roading, in which case the Gas is the better option there too. Weight isn't your friend off road, neither is an unbalanced vehicle.

Basically, ton's of reasons to go gas, and only one reason to go diesel, and that's if you actually need the towing capacity.

you should definitely drive the diesel before you write it off. the entertainment value of 1050ft/lbs of torque is worth the extra $$$

My Tremor is a fully optioned Lariat, minus the dreaded moonroof and power running boards, which I did not want. I looked at the KR and Platinum packages, but the overriding factor for me was the Lariat Black package. I will not drive a vehicle with silver or chrome and I did not want to spend the money to paint/replace the chrome/silver items, so I stuck with the maximum Lariat features. With the Tremor, Lariat Ultimate and Lariat Black, it is a very nicely appointed Super Duty with all of the creature comforts I need. The Carli suspension and 37s will be the icing on the cake for me, and it will tow my 7000 lb TT across the country this summer without hardly breaking a sweat.

To answer your question, the MSRP was $78,765 and I paid $70,130, plus TTL, which in Texas is a 6.25% tax rate, so $74,700 OTD.

Plus, they delivered it 245 miles to my house on a Saturday at no additional charge. I did the whole deal over email with only a single phone call when I placed the order, and I never stepped foot in the dealership or even met the salesman! I did not pay an upfront deposit, there were no additional dealership fees, I did not finance through them, or have a trade-in, so they did not make any money on the "other" side of the deal. It was one of the easiest and least stressful vehicle purchases I have made in many years.
