Fold your mirrors in when parallel parking...

Sucks that happened. Like others, I'm in the habit of folding my mirrors in anytime I park. Other than parallel parking, I've seen how careless people can be when simply walking between vehicles in the parking lot. You'd think it would be easy enough for people to avoid a big mirror sticking out in their path. The Raptor is big enough. I try to make it as "small" as possible when parked.

The only time I don't fold the mirrors in is if there's going to be some type of frozen precipitation...similar to leaving my wipers up off the windshield.

Same here. This is the only reason I don't look into an auto-fold option.

^^X2's. I folded my old F250 minrors in during a Freezing Rain and i had to drive home with the mirrors folded in until they thawed out. Now that made lane changes in icy road conditions a ****** F'ER!

Raptors are not the only ones vulnerable to all the idiots out on the road. I saw this car shortly after reading about your incident. His mirror is on the hood, with trim pieces scattered about on the ground:

Wow guys wondered why my amb blue puddle lights were brighter and just found out the lens got knocked out and just the housing is in there now... This sucks!
