Fog lights interfering with radio

I installed some Rough Country fog lights on the raptor a few months ago. Last night I turned them on while listening to a local radio station and when I flip aux 1 switch to on, the radio gets staticky.
I assume the aux power cables run close to the antenna cable and create some noise.
Any ideas on how to eliminate this issue?

It’s probably your ground for the lights. Either pick a new spot or clean off the metal a little more.
It could also be a loose connection either positive or negative rattling around.

It’s grounded directly to the battery...
should I ground it to the chassis?

Hmm. Check the positive connection and make sure it’s solid.

Try the chassis if you can’t find anything wrong with the positive.

Can’t be anything wrong with the positive, I soldered that sucker on. Im going to try moving the ground

You will have noise issues with cheaper lights out there. Stick with kc, rigid , baja , black oak .

This is interesting... I have the same interference issue. Baja Designs lights ground wire directly to the battery and soldered power lead wire. Not a huge deal because I rarely use the AM/FM with my lights on

So it’s not the cheap lights...

FoShizzle, I also rarely use FM. I use my phone mostly. But I’d still like for this to not be an issue.
I’m going to try moving the ground this week, if that doesn’t work I’m going to put a ferrite choke on the power cable. Thinking back to my electrical engineering classes I remember that high current through a conductor can create radio interference.

a buddy of mine has a Tundra and he got some ebay light bar and fog light installed... same issue as you describe. After somebody advises to use better lights ( I think he went with baja) no more issue
