Fog lights interfering with radio

I too have the static issue with FM reception when using either set of my Rigids. I’m currently connected to chassis ground. After speaking with Rigid, they recommend ferrite beads attached to the power wire. I tried that with little positive effect. I’m curious to see other options to correct the issue.

can you try winding the cable 1-2 times around the ferrite bead?

I have the same issue with aux 6 I lazily grounded my dashcam to the metal frame bit behind the glovebox. One day I'll get back in there to fix it. It's fine around the city where all the stations are broadcasting but it's crap a but further out into the suburbs unless I flick aux 6 off.

I too had a similar experience. I had Rigid lights which caused radio interference. I checked wiring multiple times, moved grounds to different locations, tried ferrite beads but nothing helped. After about a year I gave up and replaced the Rigids with Baja Designs. Have had no more interference since.

There are possibly bootleg Rigids and Baja design lights out there. My experience quality lights, you will not have issues , Ebay/Amazon different story. Rough country fog lights come out to $43 a piece if you do the math.

You can try routing power wires away from the antenna , also twisting the ground and power wires together making twisted pair may cancel out some of the noise.

I have 4 different brands of lights on my GEN 1 and none of them cause any noise. Black Oak flush back up lights , BAJA design S2 3rd brake/chase light 3 of them , KC gravity pro6 roof mount 8 of them , Rigid e- series 20 inch amber in front bumper.

Maybe Gen 2 more susceptible to noise , aluminum body . I don't have any aux lights on my 19.

Maybe a Light Manufacturer will chime in on their thoughts.

I had static/radio issues on my 2017 but there is no clear reason why. I had the triple bezel kit with 2 Rigid Radiance and 1 KC Hilite per side. The first thing I tried was I moved the ground to the battery and that didn't fix it. I narrowed it down to the KC on the driver side. I replied to another thread on here about the radio/static issue and Jeff from fordraptorlights saw it and sent me out another KC without even contacting them. ( Best customer service ever) That fixed the issue for a few months and then the static came back. It was the driver side KC again. A few months later I saw fordraptorlights had some new Baja Designs S1's for the triple bezel kit so I bought a set of those and replced the KC's. I ran them on my 2017 for about 8 months with no static issues. I then moved the whole triple bezel setup over to my 2020 and haven't had any static issues yet but I'm only @ 1800 miles.

I had the same issue with Aux 5 and Aux 6. I moved them to Aux 1 and 2 and the issue went away. Possible youre wrong on your amp draw and using too low a up fitter?
