there is more grumble lower down - did you see my video? you can hear it pretty well if you can good speakers/headphones...

Do you happen to have a video of what it sounds like outside of the truck? (i.e. Starting out from a stop or passing by?) Edit: I just saw your first video... :)

How much do you think your other modifications affect the sound of the Flowmaster FXs? (Whipple Stage 1, etc.) I am planning to add an intercooler and MPT tune. I also want to keep my stock resonator and black tips.

whipple stage 1 definitely adds sound, open intake and bigger intercooler allow for more air volume (noise) - the SPD adapters did change the exhaust note ever so slightly as well...

at full boil - this thing sounds amazing!!

I really like the sound of this muffler that is quiet while driving normally, but has a nice growl when you get into it. I found a video which shows how to install it yourself, if you are so inclined.

If you fast forward to the 4:15 mark, you can hear the startup and then a spirited run through a field. Their "shop truck" looks pretty good!

I will probably do the $100 local muffler shop option Toadster mentions in his video.

Do you think the SPD turbo adapters were worth it? I heard they add about 20 HP and are $400 installed. I am considering them for my build and I like the way your truck sounds.

I like them - the power has been shown as good or negligible to be honest - it dies change the tone a bit...

I just had the Flowmaster FX muffler installed on my 18 SCREW. As Toadster said the passenger side exhaust outlet from the resonator has to be flared to slip fit the inlet of the Flowmaster. I have a lift and have done installs myself but I am glad I paid $100 for this job to be done.

It took 2.5 guys 1 solid hour to get it in, and it was easier after the spare was dropped. That being said quick review:

Positive - cheap (got the last one off Amazon for $440
- drops a bit of weight off the truck, maybe 10-15 lbs
- re-uses stock tips which I think look great
- can hear more turbo spool, might spool faster from less backpressure

Negatives - mine required flaring the resonator slightly for fitment
- exhaust tone is Meh at best. Considering re-installing the stock can

Jesse@MBRP has a new exhaust developed that fixes this. Definitely makes the unattractive tones go away, yet still provides peformance.
