Floor jack to short???

I am pretty sure the boys at ford got this right but when I rotated the tires the stock floor jack was to short to get the tire off the floor. I had to place a block under the jack to get the jack high enought to get the tire off.

Thoughts?

thats what that spacer is for. Goes on top of the scissor jack.

K, now I look stupid. I didn't see the spacer but I really didn't look either. Nice to know I can loose the block of wood.

Onesickpuppy had it right toss the stock jack out and get a floor jack

First time I rotated mine I had the same problem with my (personal) floor jack. I pumped that baby up all the way and the front wheel just laughed at me. I like to get all 4 off at the same time so I can wash and rotate. (It's amazing the mud/gunk/tar on the inside) This led me to by bigger longer jack stands for the front. The guy at the parts store was like, "Are you jacking a 5 ton or something?" I pointed out the window and stated "It's the wheel travel, not the weight I needed to overcome". Still have the block of wood on the floor jack though.
