I have not read the previous 10 pages, but, just no to HF jacks. I use two Lincoln/Walker jacks. One I've had since 1989. I'm not offroading with the jacks on hand though, just in my shop.

Those 10 pages you didn't read were all about how people use HF jacks to lift their Raptors and love them. Do you have any actual experience that has made you avoid HF floor jacks, or are you just a brand guy?

Hey guys,

Wondering if the Harbor frieght floor jacks are worth the price. I need one to get the Raptor up on Jack stands to do Tire rotations. Been doing it using the stock jack the last 4 go arounds. I am tired of dealing with the stock jack. I know most floor jacks fall short in lift hieght for the Raptor, but I have some 4 x 4 oak wood I'll use to make up the difference. I been setting the truck on my 6 ton jack stands during the tire rotation. I know they are not great jacks, but right now I'm on a low buget. I also looked at the Torin Big Red 2.5 ton SUV jack, it has a built in lift extention, but the Big Red jack looks a little chessy to me.

Thanks
No way, I mean I get parts from Harbor freight that are cheap but nothing dad I would want to work correctly. Spend the money get a 3 ton jack!

Is there a safe place to lift from the control arm. Keeping the suspension under load? If so, is there a place to put a jack stand after the tires are off the ground?

A jack is for lifting, why the "gotta have the gold pated option" philosophy? Is anyone putting their life on the line that way? As long as it gets it on the jackstands w/o issue and functions nicely- who cares?

I'd think better jack stands would be where the wise money would be spent, not on the jack.

Still have big heavy steel orange 3 ton HF jack from the early 90’s. I’ve never even had to add fluid. It has out lasted two of the aluminum ones. All three during “Zeusmotorworks era” only lifting corners of cars up to 3300 lbs. Later the orange Jack was lifting 5400 lb Toyotas both on an off road.
