Good choice!! I'm going that route too. I had about 2-3 quarts overflow on that black one when I did my dodge. Not cool!!

I guess that's what we get for buying the Walmart special. Those things are fine for a Prius

I tried to give the black one away to my neighbor.
HE DIDN'T WANT IT!!!!!! LOL

Hey guys. Save yourself a couple of bucks.
Just take the black one and cut the top out of it.

I got the same black one and havent learned my lesson, over flowed on me 3 times already lol

Tip of the day: When you loosen the center plug, pull up on it, it will come out about 1" and drain much better. As the OP stated be sure to pop the vent open also. When I did my first oil change last week I was worried it would overflow after reading this thread but it didn't even come close to doing it. I need to get a nice funnel like the OP, a rolled up paper plate is so getto.LOL

I've been looking for a quality oil catch pan for years. Anyone have a good one to recommend? All the cheap plastic ones seem to have either a poor design or caps they break in short order.
