I got 2,200miles on my beast. Wanna go over to Amsoil probably at 2,500. Wanna do the Trans oil in Amsoil as well. What do you guys think about that? At 10,000 to do the trans? Probably going to get the upgraded trans pan from SDHQ as well.

The engine oil being changed early is good to get teh break in materials out so that is a good sound time. Then to keep and eye on things you may want to perform oil analysis at around your first 3-4K on the AMSOIL. Then either change it again, or choose the option to trust the lab results for extending drain intervals.

If you are going to run AMSOIL in a truck that is either brand new or fairly new, it pays to do it as soon as possible in the tranny. Unlike the engine in which you are flushing out break in materials, the tranny fluid is applying friction modifiers to the clutches. Doing the tranny flush as early as possible ensures that it is their friction modifiers being applied and the fluid isn't coming in after another fluid with a different formulation and attempting to clean the firction modifier coatings off of the clutches putting you at higher risk of slipping for the first 500 miles after the flushing. You still want to take it easy on it for a couple of hundred or so after a tranny flush in my opinion and on these trucks make sure that you take it to a reputable shop or dealer that you trust to perform a hot flush.
