people try to race me when I'm TOWING my raptor on a trailer.

My other pet peeve? Please, for the love of God, If you plan to pace me so your passenger can take pictures of my truck, while it is on the trailer...

Don't freaking do it IN MY BLIND SPOTS.

you can't account for stupid.

p.s. - raptors are only trophy trucks when they're in the dirt.

Does yours make the grinding sound when coming to a complete stop using ACC? That drives me bonkers. I found a thread a while back that seemed to conclude it was a fact of life in these trucks

Never, I even let the truck take us from ~50mph to 0 just to demonstrate to the wifey that it was possible. I use ACC almost daily since speeding on a military base is a big no-no and have never heard any grinding.

The grinding could be the ABS kicking in, I have noticed people take a lot of risks around the truck. Kind of dangerous.

A Raptor is a street legal off road truck, that allows you to drive it on road to get to the dirt. Where it does the business it does best ;)

I picked up my raptor last week in South Dakota. I drove back to Denver pretty much at 80 and getting 15 mpg. This was my 1st real road experience with Raptors. This is easily the nicest truck I have ever been in. I stopped in Guernsey, WYOMING to take a break and a State Trooper wanted to look at it. The truck seems to garner a lot of attention.

A lot of agro drivers out there, had a few instances this weekend of Ricky Bobby wannabes trying to send one up the middle.

It doesn't stop. We were sitting in a parking lot on Sunday and the wife goes "why does everyone keep looking at us" ... it's just like that.

Did Eastern NC to Central PA and back for thanksgiving (1000mi roundtrip), a cool 9hr trip each way without NOVA/DC traffic along Satan's taint aka I95.

ACC is pretty handy in stop and go traffic, just when the mind starts getting tired it's nice that the truck is looking out for you. I set it in the shortest setting but often have people shooting that gap in traffic which is honestly fine by me.

At speed ACC can be slightly annoying specifically if you're cruising, the person in front of you brakes to turn, and you switch into the fast lane to maintain your speed. I had the truck panic brake, nose dive, drop from 75 to 60, and then since it was still in 10th gear, it lugged its way back up to speed.

The real MVP on long drives is dual climate controls. A well heated or cooled wife is good for your health.
What’s in Central PA? My college and family were there.
