So we're just going to die a fiery death and should not buy fire extinguishers.
No! Please. this is important!
Have as many fire extinguishers as you think you need and one more for me.
Just know there function, how there work and how to use them.
The live you're saving could be mine.

So is it a better death to die from Halon suffocation or burn alive? Choose wisely....

I like your setup and am copying one in front of each seat.

Just need to know which extinguisher to buy.

I saw that, let me know it works for you.

Mounted it prior to the NE Maine Dirty Dozen run back in September and it worked out just fine. 3 days of high speed trails, with lots of air, covering 350 miles and it never bounced out. The Velcro holds it very solid but allows for me to reach back and grab it very comfortably and quickly

So I sent an email to H3R Performance on their HalGuard product concerning what we are talking about when trapped in your truck. Here is their response:

Thank you for your purchase.

Every extinguishing agent has strengths and weaknesses. “Halotron 1”, the agent used in HalGuard fire extinguishers is attractive for its clean agent properties and its effectiveness at extinguishing flammable liquid fires, while not conducting electricity. This is why it is used on aircraft, telecommunications facilities, etc. While Halotron 1 (unlike CO2) does not remove oxygen from the air (a common misconception), it IS important to ventilate the area after use.

Many feel that carbon monoxide and other combustion products created by a fire are far more of a health risk than risks associated with Halotron 1. However, if you are concerned about the ability to ventilate the area after a fire, then our MaxOut extinguisher may be a better choice.
