I'd also suggest checking out some of the hard shell rooftop tents like the James Baroud or the iKamper. Both of those are super fast to set up and stow just as quickly. The hardshell tents are a little more expensive but offer some other options also.

100% the hard shell tents are a even quicker set up. Only downside on our small beds it means less interior space. I was looking at the iKamper mini (only one that will fit on the bed without over hanging) and for the added cost and less room it wasn't for me. If I had a 2500 or Super Duty and could get fit one of the larger hardshell tents I would totally go that direction.

The iKamper set up looks pretty sweet!

This dudes youtube channel does a pretty decent overview of the iKamper tents. There is more room than you would think in a lot of these tents, but you definitely aren't going to get enough room to stand up and change or do a lot of other desirable things when you're camping. I think the awning rooms are worth the time if you'll be parking somewhere for more than just a few hours overnight.

Yea the iKamper mini is 51x82" sleeping area and my CVT Shasta is a 56x96" area which is 4" wider and 14" longer. I have a mini Aussie that I take camping with me so the extra leg room was needed since Im 6'2"

One of the best and most underrated areas in the NW IMO. It’s awesome.

It is, but with everyone moving here lately I'm afraid it wont stay that way. Its also why I don't usually GEO Tag it or share exact spots. This specific spot took me 3 hours of Google earth hunting and then two trips up from Boise to find it lol
