Who carries around license plates to swap out, unless they know they're going to do something wrong?

My take is that he's well practiced at giving apologies.

Yeah haven’t read that part. If it’s true then hope he gets what he deserves.

Turn it around. Back it in so the engine (iron) is aligned on the rear wheel of the trailer. Most likely, your wheels will be in the same spot, just reversed.
