So I picked up two Feniex Fusion bars to mount to the left and right of the third brake light. These are surface mount bars with six 4 watt LED's. They come in single and dual colors. I went with Amber/Red combo.

Will set the control 1 to Solid On Amber and then Option 2 to Red Brake function (Pulses real quick in red and then stays solid on) for runs. This way there is the bright amber to see the truck and then when I step on the brake option 2 overrides option one and goes into brake mode till you let off the brake.

When not on runs will set the option 1 pattern to a flashing amber as an Alert option for when needed, such as on the side of the road.

Just waiting for them to fully dry as I put three coats of PlatiDip Smoke on the lens to decrease the light output a little and also give a more subdued look. Hope to get them mounted up and wired in the next day or two. Have the Diodes for the Brake tie in, just need to get a couple taps and some dielectric grease to help insulate the taps (We all know the 3rd brake light likes to sometimes leak).

In the one pic you can see the solid amber just sitting ontop of the cover to give an idea just how bright they are (This is before the PlastiDip) compared to the rear cab light (Which has a single coat of PlastiDip Smoke)

I drilled Three holes for each. Two for nutserts in 6-32 to mount the light and then used a step bit for the hole to run the wires thru.

I also soldered a diode inline to feed option 2 on the lights and then tapped into the red brake wire on the third brake light. This way I can manually turn on option 2 (Set as the brake flash then solid red) and also have it come on automatically when the brake is pressed.

I have a set of Amber/White cannons. Was looking to try and put them in my tail lights but the reflector section for the reverse lamp is so small so I might do the same with the cargo lights.

im considering putting one of those fusion bars in between my cannons now. whats the width on those?

im not sure the cannons are bright enough to run alone, i guess who ever is behind me at snoball will be the judge of that..

The Cannons should be plenty bright. Only thing I don't like with most rear setups is when they are mounted in the center. I like when you have a light towards each corner so better chance to still see one of them when things get whited out. Really comes down to the conditions during the day.

The fusion surface mount is 1.17" H x 5.22" L x 0.88"
