Do you think those of us without the facility to weld aluminium could use an acrylic structural adhesive like the Norton Speedgrip 6420? I feel like it would be likely to separate.

I wouldn’t risk it. Have it tig welded, not worth the risk of it separating.

I suspected so. I've just never worked with these types of acrylic adhesive and our tinfoil panels before. Thanks.

I agree, It is definitely a structural area so I wouldn’t take a chance. I mig welded the filler piece I made. You should be able to find someone to do that for you very responsible.

I was going to mig it myself but the cost of a new spool of aluminum is more than the couple beers my buddy will Tig it for.

You should offer this as a service through your shop. It really is a game changer. Removing the need for glass fenders for many and the quality of the output is fantastic. Certainly beats most versions of this which look like a bad attempt at carving a Jack Skellington jack-o-lantern.
