Fender Modification to run 37's with 1.5" Collars

You are assuming zero offset which is also a purely cosmetic ******** mod which spews crap all over your truck and rubs like shit. After running 35s on methods for years I am thinking 37s on stockers is a much better mod.

I’m not “assuming” 0 offset, his wheels are 0 offset, which happens to also be, for some reason, what most aftermarket 17 wheels that fit a raptor come as.

I would love to find a good looking +20 - +30 offset wheel ... but they’re not made.

You' re right on both counts. He does have 0s and I also would also love some nicer narrower wheels!

This mod is still a serious contender for getting the benefits of 37s without the pain of fenders when paired with stock offset to run hard offroad.

Have you taken this set up off road and bottomed out the front suspension, and if so was there any rubbing from somewhere else?

I ask because I've looked at aftermarket wheels for the Raptor, but it seems like there are none with the factory offset...The ICON's were the closest if I remember correctly...

I take my truck off road...and as you can see I use ALL my travel...

My wheels are not 0 offset they have a 6mm offset. Approximately 1/4" narrower than a 0 Offset wheel.

Yes I have, both high speed and lower speed technical stuff. I'm pretty sure I didn't have my wheels turned when landing LOL. But plenty of clearance at full bump in both high and low speeds. I don't have any photos but will take some next time out.

I'm not a expert in go fast suspension but I do have a lot of experience stuffing large items into small places. Years of building Jeeps, large tires small wheel wells. Here's my latest build that includes some new (to the Jeep world) shock technology.





I also never intended my original post be a replacement for the need to use wider fenders if someone chooses to do that. I just wanted to show a alternative to a much more expensive and for most a unnecessary modification. In fact I stated in a earlier post in this thread that this modification would work well with wider fenders and gain clearance in a much needed area of the firewall.

Thanks for the correction. I'm surprised 6mm doesn't hit the fender flares with 37 at full tuck.

It will hit. I’ve seen it happen. Travel vs clearance.

Cool video. You can see why the truck comes with +34 offset wheels on 35s to stay inside the fenders. Also shows how the IFS travel path moves the tires out during travel until the LCA is horizontal. Also shows how bad the stock rear leafs are lol

Would be interesting to see that vid with a 37 on a stock wheel offset. I’m not convinced that a 37 on a stock wheel won’t hit but I think it might be good.
