Feedback on Goodyear Duratrac Tires

Did you by chance measure the stock KO2s?

Sorry as I didn’t . I never ran the KO2’s .
Switched tires out from dealer to KO3’s for summer use .

Just installed a set of Dura 315 x 17 and new cheap wheels for winter .
79-80 decibels for them and the KM3 at same speed are 85 decibels for noise .
The Duras get worse though at about 1/2 tread .

Was the 5 decibel difference noticeable? Would you run KM3's all year long?

KM3 is okay in the snow but terrible on ice .
Wouldn’t recommend for winter driving if you drive lots . IMO
The noice is noticeable but the traction is well worth it on the KM3 for mud and summer driving off rd. IMO

My Raptor will be my DD so will be seeing whatever weather throws my way. I love look of KM3. Might just have to do summer and winter setup,,,again. Even though we have not gotten any noticeable snow this year.

Did anyone notice a MPG improvement over the K02's? I've had Rt's, Wild peaks, ect on my old Raptors and don't feel the need for the added weight/performance over the K02's

I’m putting on some ATZ P3s in a week and going on a winter run March 14, I’ll have a review when I’m back. Same weight as stock tires could be a good option.

Brother and I saw a decrease in fuel economy on our 2011s when we switched, but the actual diameter of the 315/70R17 Duratrac was significantly larger than the BFG. This could be a function of the speedo calibration now being off a bit, more mass further out, and likely lousier aerodynamics. We were on stock wheels.

Every 3db is a theoretical doubling of volume so yeah, it should be substantial.
