These look nice! So stuck on which 37" tires to get. Toyos are just too heavy for me

I don't know. I think outlaw had a picture of somes with 37's.Just don't know what tire to get in 37's. Like the toyos but way too heavy. Been hearing good things on these. Wonder how much a 37 would weigh

The 35" Wildpeak is 74lbs

The 37" Wildpeak is 81lbs

Both for 17" rims, of course. Not bad, considering the Toyos are 93lbs each in the same size!!!

I have to wonder with the heavier tire, that you are getting more material thicker sidewall more plys deeper tread, lugs on the sidewall, making it a better tire.

Rubber compound has a lot to do with it as well I imagine.

And more of something doesn't necessarily mean its better.

That can be true for the most part with tires... however, for our trucks the tread pattern also has a lot to do with it. If you're an explorer, or a mud rider, or just a trail cruiser, the Open Country MT's are a great tire. They're robust and super tough.

If you like high speed off road, sliding, and spinning your tires, the MT's are NOT a good choice. The treads are too aggressive, and the extra rubber really doesn't help you where you need it, as the knobs become MORE prone to chunking off. My buddy that drives like me has them, and they're all trashed really bad... not to mention they're a lot noisier now too that some lugs are in terrible shape.

The Wildpeaks are great because they have extra rubber compared to stock for increased strength (as evident in the increased weight) but they tread pattern is VERY resistant to chunking apart, and takes some serious abuse! That, and they're still SILENT on the highway. The looks aren't as aggressive as some people would like, but I easily got past the non-aggressive look once I experienced them and saw how well they have held up for me. I'm NOT easy on these tires. Not at all.

At least when they start to chunk they will weigh less. JK!
I hear what you're saying different tires for different terrain and driving styles, If they work well for what you are using them for then can't argue with that.

Hey Blue, what are you typically airing your wild peaks down to when you go off roading?
