I've have a 2012 screw with 4k miles on it and it feels like something is not allowing the truck to coast when I take my foot off of the accelerator, it feels like some sort of braking is occurring. I thought it was my mind at first but the more I drive the more I notice it. When cruising on flat highway at 65-70, when I let off of the accelerator the truck drops in speed quickly. It doesn't appear that the RPMs are up enough to create a slowing by the trans. If i put slight pressure and I mean slight pressure on the accelerator it seems to stop its braking feel. I have looked through my manual and can't find a solution to the problem. I have all the off road features, hill decent, etc. all off. I have looked all over the truck and do not see brakes or anything else that is hanging up.

Anyone else experience this issue or have a solution?

Thanks for your help....cf

If it really feels like its slowing down to much and the brakes are not hung up, e brake not partiality engaged, it could be the torque converter slowing it up. I would get it to the dealer to have it checked out soon....

Made an appointment with the dealer, we'll see what they say. The service writer was looking at me like I was crazy when explaining my issue.

Not saying you're this stupid but here's what happened to me one fine day: Cruising down the highway and each time I'd let off the accelerator the truck would start decelerating abnormally quick, even downshifting. Asked my buddies on FRF what the hell is wrong with my truck and someone asked if I had the cruise control set.

Then I suddenly remembered I had set the cruise at 40 when I went through the South Coffeyville speed trap and hadn't cancelled it. So each time I lifted off the gas my truck was trying to slow me back down to 40mph.

The op has a 2012. That TSB doesn't include 12'. I'll throw in my similar experience. I've noticed my truck seems to drag especially coasting down hill. And more pronounced in sport mode. If I have the traction control on it seems to have far less resistance but still feels like it is dragging an anchor. One thing about these electronic vehicles these days is you cant do like the old days and throw it neutral and check it without causing some other problem. I would love to hear from a reliable source on whether coasting down a hill in neutral will cause any problems? I've heard mixed comments. Don't want to FU something else.

As long as your not on the gas going into and out of neutral will not damage anything.
