Factory remote entry has become unresponsive

So my truck is now a year and a half old. When I first got it, the remote was decently responsive and had pretty good distance too. Now, sometimes I have to click the remote multiple times even when I'm right next to it.

I'm going to change the battery on the remote soon and hopefully that will fix it. But does anyone else have this issue?

I just hope its not the receiver antenna or something like that. Anybody ever replace the battery? If so what do I need to buy?

cr 2032 i think. but a small flat screwdriver will tell you in just a couple seconds.

Sadly, There is no solution. Be one with the viper 5904 you must. It has incredible range and a rechargeable battery in the remote.

Hit the remote solidly with a mini-sledge. Then we'll be able to give you a 100% sure diagnosis.


What about the second remote/key that comes with the truck??
