Factory Carbon Fiber Trim Pieces After Purchase

Hey guys, I was looking to order a screw today but a dealer by me has one coming in next week with everything I want with the exception of the Carbon Fiber interior trim option. My question is, can you purchase the pieces in the "package" from the parts department and have them installed afterwards? I am concerned about tearing the interior apart in a brand new truck, but if it is a feasible option that will not cost much more than $995, I would go this route instead of waiting a couple months for a new order to come in. What are your thoughts? Thanks

I got the shifter for ~ $60 or so, and others have gotten the console door, etc.

If C/F is your thing then yes you can do it. It will probably be a bit on the spendy side though. Some of the pieces aren’t cheap.

I would buy the truck and see if you can't live without CF and worry about it later, if it's a good enough of a deal anyway. Not like it's the wrong paint color or something. Just my thoughts. I don't have CF and don't find myself regretting it one bit.

Thanks for the responses, I am getting the same deal whether I order a new one or take the one coming in, it just happened to be spec'd exactly how I was going to order with that one exception. The CF would be really nice to have since it's kinda my thing, I'm a dork. I actually wanted to do it on my '13, but I couldn't find anyone who did it back then and was glad when I saw it was an option on the gen2.

Yeah dude, don't worry about the carbon. Its kind of cheesy in 6000lb truck. Not to mention way over priced. Were not talking about real carbon fiber here, its 7 small pieces of carbon fiber look material for $1000! The standard pieces in the 2019 are a different design and look better than the 2017-18.

You can just wrap it with vinyl CB. Its something I just started on my truck and its not that difficult. There are dozen of different types that you can get small samples of to decide. One I am using has nice texture to it. So far everything was easy to remove, you can find bunch of videos showing how to. Under $100 for this winter project, including panel removal tools that are very helpful.

Mine came w/ CF & I have to say it does look cool, especially the shifter. Some of the other pieces you don't notice as much, but of course you use the shifter all the time.
