Man, I love threads like this. All these guys that don't have or ever will have a Raptor chiming in with their 'professional' opinions arguing with guys that have had or currently own a Raptor that know what the **** they are talking about.
@ntm obviously made a rational comment regarding lifting a Raptor and that a heavy duty truck would be more apt to handle the added stresses associated with it. He didn't bash anyone that is trying it, just stated the facts.
I think that there are a lot of F150 forums where your opinions about F150's would be appreciated. This isn't one of them. We sometimes come across as being snobby about our trucks, but that's usually directed towards some ******* trying to convince us that we ought to listen to what they have to say that has no relevance to our particular truck or this forum.
So, @Kytann - good luck with your Raptor 'conversion' and we hope that you find some useful information here to get you to where you want your truck to be someday. My advice to you would be to try and ask for direction/advice from people that know Raptors. Otherwise, we couldn't give two ***** about your personal opinions of the owner members.
And @C3855 - I personally look forward to seeing your truck with the lift at one of the events. Although it's not the direction that most of us take, none of us would be driving what we drive today without someone like you taking a chance and trying new stuff out. Keep us posted with your successes and failures.
Just my $.02.....
