I would imagine an insulation fastener would be a relatively easy resolution. You might be able to look at your drive shaft just to make sure there are no mark lines on it, if you see any then you might be concerned.

I agree, but for liability reasons, I would think Ford will want to inspect each one.

this will be a quick fix for sure, as someone already mentioned here F150 is Ford's best selling model. I would imagine there would be no way that Ford lets it go and doesn't sell another F150 for months on end. I would expect a fix almost ASAP.

i just saw the recall posted in another thread. it say dealers are to inspect and secure the fasteners and electrical wires and fuel vapor lines before releasing to customer. so sounds like they have to look at and makes sure they are good then they can be sold. so no a big hold up

something similar happened in late 2017. none of the 17s could be sold until a few rivets were replaced. 17s sat for 6 weeks, while the 18s could be sold.

No. Look at the dates affected. 22s didn’t start production until 11/29

Also, produced trucks after these dates are still on a stop shipment for turbo issues. A lot of early trucks have been having failed turbos, mine included. They are not sure what is causing this. My tech said it appeared the turbo had insufficient lube in the bearings. I know there are 700 trucks waiting to be shipped on this issue per an engineer.
